My scrapbook blog - {Sandi's Musings}

So, this is me:  

Creating art is my passion. I have been using it as my outlet for as long as I can remember. My career is fast-paced and full of stress and when I come home, I revel in the fact that I can hide in my studio that my family affectionately refers to as 'Scrapbookland' and drown myself in my art. I love creating pages for my family that make them gasp or laugh and reminisce. This passion, the creating process, is what makes me happy. This is what validates me.

Objective:

I would love to work as a designer for a scrapbook manufacturer or a magazine. (This is my ultimate dream.) I would be available for almost anything and I have a very fast turn-around time for special projects. My passion is paper crafting.  My creativity and enthusiasm make me a perfect candidate to work with your company.  I am flexible, driven and professional. I work well under time constraints and as part of a team.  Most importantly, I am constantly challenging myself to learn new and fresh techniques and apply them to my work. I am available for any freelance work... please feel free to contact me if you think my style would be a complement to your product or publication.

Styles & Techniques:

My scrapbooking style is very eclectic- I like to use all sorts of different media to achieve the look I envision. I also tend to use a wide variety of product when I am creating pages. I try to pay close attention to the design elements on my pages. While the photos are the main focus of my layouts, I enjoy highlighting products and telling a story though my work.  I enjoy using a variety of techniques including sewing, stamping and using computer software as I create scrapbook pages, cards, mini-albums and altered items.
