Objective:

My objective is to have my work accessible to manufacturers and publishers in the scrapbooking industry.  I have had my work published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Legacy, PaperKuts, Canadian Scrapbooker and Memory Makers.   I am also a Contract Designer for the Book Division of Memory Makers.     I was a Contributing Editor and a member of the Creative Team for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine since it's inception.  I worked for the magazine for it's debut year - from the premiere issue  December 2005 to the one year anniversary issue in December 2006.  I have had my work on display at Memory Trends and CHA trade shows.    I have served on a number on on-line design teams and I am now striving to achieve design team positions on scrapbooker manufacturer design teams.  I took a year off from submitting my work due to time constraints because of personal matters but I am starting to submit again with frequency as I enjoy seeing my work in print.  I am confident in my ability to provide quality artwork for use on design team websites, at trade shows, in advertising and in publications.   Freelance work is also something that I would welcome.

Styles & Techniques:

My style would be best described as textured!   There is nothing that I will shy away from or not try.  I also enjoy having the ability to provide a pleasant mix of styles throughout my personal scrapbooks.  I have also created albums and individual layouts for clients that were done with their likes and style in mind.  I have also been told, on more than one occasion, that I have a unique ability to provide my clients with exactly what they are looking for.  I will meet with my client for a consultation and it is usually a gift that they are having made for someone.  During this consultation I will try to get a feel of the person that will be receiving this gift.  I also get a feel as to their personality and style by the photos I receive from my client.  I have had many compliments in this regard, for example "I can't believe it, it is like you know her.  This is so perfect."   I have also created many mini albums and accordian books for clients and they are very popular.

I also enjoy trying new techniques, whether seen on the internet, in magazines or displayed at my local scrapbook store.  My mind is always working and looking to invent a new technique to distribute to scrapbookers everywhere.  Looking at things as a scrapbooker gives me a totally new outlook on everything around me - I no longer look at things the same way – whether I am  in a hardware store, a fabric store, a stationary store, a dollar store, I envision new, inventive ways to utilize  non-scrapbooking products in my scrapbook creations.

Scrapbook Memories & More
Scrapbook Instructor
I worked at this local scrapbooking store from October 2002 to January 2004.  I was responsible for a majority of the classes held at the store that went beyond a basic's class.  My classes would include a variety of techniques and styles that my students felt were both challenging and rewarding.  I built up a wonderful following at the store and enjoyed my time there.
