For as long as I can remember, I have always loved designing paper crafts. As a child, I even made a catalog of homemade cards and stationery and sold them to neighbors and family. I have been scrapbooking since the summer of 1996 and have gone from scrapbooking merely to document our special memories to really falling in love with the creative outlet that scrapbooking and paper crafts provide for me. One of my interests that sets me apart from other designers is my love of unique paper crafts. I love looking outside of the box and thinking, “Now what could I use paper for that no one else would have thought of?” Designing has become more than just a hobby for me…it is a major part of my life and of who I am. There is so much gratification spending countless hours creating the tangible version of a unique idea that you personally “gave birth to.” A gift really isn’t anything until you share it with the world...and that is what I love to do. I love helping friends with their pages, teaching classes, having late night crops at my house and making special home crafted gifts for family & friends. It is also an honor to see my work accepted by numerous publications. As a designer, it is so rewarding to see projects that I spent so much time on and am so proud of, being recognized in magazines, idea books, etc. I love that I have the opportunity to spend so much time doing something that I love so much.
Objective:
I am interested in developing my creativity further by stretching it through different design opportunities and assignments.
Styles & Techniques:
I am pretty versatile when it comes to technique. If there is a style that I don't use as often, or haven't tried yet, I am always willing to give it a go. New styles, techniques, products, etc. are some of the major things that offer me inspiration. I am always excited to try new things and new opportunities.
