About Me:
Hello!  I am Christine Brown and I have been scrapbooking since 2000.  I live in the great state of Minnesota in a fringe Minneapolis suburb with my two spirited little boys, ages 12 and 9.  They keep me pretty busy, but never too busy to sneak away for some "me" time in my scrap studio.  Scrapbooking has become so much more than a hobby to me.  It has become a creative outlet -- a way to free my mind after a stressful day. It is no longer just about saving stories for my kids, but about reflecting on what's important in my life and communicating that through my pages.

Besides scrapbooking, I enjoy photography, figure skating, playing the hand chimes and just enjoying the countryside.  I have a knack for solving problems and love any kind of challenge.  You will often find me taking the long way home in search of something previously undiscovered.  I love to try new things.  I wear rose-colored glasses (yeah, I'm an optimist) and I am a Christian.

Objective:
I am interested in all types of freelance, magazine, manufacturer and company design positions. 

Styles & Techniques:
My core style could be described as classic-romantic, but I also enjoy creating designs with a more graphic appeal.  My pages revolve around self-discovery and sharing my love for my family.  I truly enjoy the challenge of working with new products and trying new techniques.    I am a savvy consumer and designer, and am always up on the latest and greatest trends and techniques--adapting them to my personal style.

I love playing with texture and embellishments, paints, stamps, metals and fabric.  However the photos and journaling always remain the focus of my pages.  I create well-rounded layouts with equally strong design, photography and journaling.

The majority of my work is done in a 12x12 format, but I have worked in 8x8, 9x9 and 5x7 formats.  I also thoroughly enjoy making unique mini books, tag books, cards, altered purses and albums, and just about any other paper arts projects I stumble upon.
