A Little About Me:
I work full-time as a chemist in a pharmaceutical company. Having always been a creative individual, when I started scrapbooking two years ago, it unleashed a serious need in me to indulge my artistic side. In January 2007, I set out on a quest to turn my hobby into a part-time career. In just a few months time, I've been fortunate to have landed a design team position, teaching positions at two of my favorite scrapbook stores, and my very first publications. Participating in the scrapbooking industry is truly a dream come true for me. My two daughters share my love of scrapbooking, as well. I consider myself very lucky to have found such a wonderful hobby that my daughters and I can share together.
Objective:
My purpose is to find artistic and innovative ways to endorse products and to spread the art of scrapbooking to others through teaching, whether it be via online forums or teaching informal classes. Scrapbooking excites me and I want to cultivate that excitement in others. I love working with a variety of different products and techniques and am always seeking creative new ways to use product. I am a committed team player and I welcome the opportunity to work for your design team. I look forward to continually raising the bar in my own creativity and applying that energy to your design team.
Styles & Techniques:
As someone who has always enjoyed creating art, I try to infuse a sense of art into my layouts. I often doodle, draw, and create my own handwritten titles. I love to try new techniques and have been known to develop a layout centered around a technique that I've been meaning to try. Sometimes my layouts have a clean graphic feel to them. I see myself as being a chameleon of styles and don't want my work to be thought of as having a repetitive or predictable look. My work is in a constant state of evolution; it's the way I try to keep things fresh.
